Privacy and cookies

Who is responsible

This site is run by Jure Hrastnik, who is the controller of the personal data described here. Write to jure.hrastnik@gmail.com with any question or request.

Without your consent

No analytics and no tracking. As with any website, the server receives your IP address and browser details with each request, to deliver the page and keep the service secure (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These logs are kept only as long as operation and security require. Fonts and icons are served from this site, not from third parties.

Analytics, only if you allow it

If you choose “Allow analytics”, the site loads Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to count visits and see which sections are used. It sets the cookies _ga and _ga_FHDGD62D1R, which expire after 13 months. Google signals and ad personalization are off. Google keeps the analytics data for at most 14 months. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States, which is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, and the Slovenian Electronic Communications Act, ZEKom-2, for storing cookies). If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded at all.

Choices kept in your browser

Your language, theme and cookie choice are kept in your browser’s local storage, so the site can do what you asked. They never leave your device. Your cookie choice is asked again after 12 months.

Changing your mind

Use “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page. Withdrawing consent deletes the analytics cookies this site set and stops Google Analytics from loading.

Your rights

You may ask for access to your data, its correction or erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia (ip-rs.si).
